Centre Stage School of the Arts is an expanding creative arts school based in Singapore. Established in 1999 we provide quality after-school drama, dance, and musical-theatre training for students from 3 to 16 as well as a pre-school programme providing arts based creative play.
An important part of our work is with young children so it is vital that you communicate well and enjoy working with children of ALL ages.
Our courses fall into three broad areas; early childhood, ages 5 to 11 and ages 12 to 17. If you have experience or a preference in teaching any of these ages specifically, please indicate on your application.
Our courses fall into two main areas – there are the process driven CREATIVE classes and the PERFORMANCE courses.
The ideal person must be enthusiastic, passionate about teaching and about children. Applicants should be reliable, committed and able to work independently, as well as being able to contribute to team efforts. In support of this, assistance with annual Continual Professional Development courses will be available. Tis position affords the opportunity to join a happy, supportive and inspiring group of artists and have a lot of fun achieving a great deal!
The position is based in Singapore and a minimum commitment of 2 years is required. Salary is based on experience and qualification and there is assistance with relocation should it be required.

Dance Teacher
We are looking for a hghly creative dance teacher with experience in working in the profession and an excellent track record with working with children. The teacher will be required to teach 20 to 25 hours of dance per week to students of all ages and mixed abilities. The main bulk of the work will be as a Modern/Jazz teacher, but we also provide classes in Tap, Ballet and Contemporary, and have a vibrant Musical Theatre Course so experience in any of these disciplines is an advantage.
It is essential that the teacher is able to be nurturing, encouraging and inspiring to their students and therefore be able to reflect the core values of Centre Stage: to help to unlock the creative potential in us all.
We particularly like to work with people who have had a wide and interesting experience of the performing arts scene and life in general. We are interested in people who not only know their craft but who are interested in the nurthuring and development of the individual.
We expect a two year commitment and will pay for return flights to Singapore and help with housing when you first arrive.
Musical Theatre Teacher
We are looking for two hghly creative Musical Theatre teachers with experience in working in the profession and an excellent track record with working with children.
