Centre Stage School of the Arts is an expanding drama, music and dance school based in Singapore. Established in 1999 we provide quality drama, dance, art and music training for students from 3 to 16 as well as a pre-school programme.

TAP TEACHER

We urgently require a Tap Dancing Teacher. This is a part time position with classes on Monday afternoons. The applicants must be trained and experienced with an ability to encoursge the best from children. Knowledge of the ISTD Tap syllabus an advantage.

BALLET TEACHER

We are looking for a full-time employee who is a RAD Registered Teacher for a well-established performing arts school in Singapore.  The successful applicant must be able to take classes from Pre-Primary to Advanced 2 and be able to enter students for RAD examinations.  Teaching hours are from Monday to Friday, show and exam rehearsals are held on the weekends.  We require a candidate who is passionate about choreography who will be able to produce a whole show independently.  This is an exciting and rewarding position within our Company with benefits and renumeration. It is also a great opportunity for somebody who is wishing to re-locate and spend time in Asia.

The successful applicant would be keen, self motivated, friendly, diligent and out-going.

The school also has thriving Musical Theatre and Drama departments so the ability to teach across departments would be an advantage (see below)

Qualifications – Must be RAD Registered and...

EITHER - a degree or diploma in dance/performing arts linked with either a teaching qualification or significant teaching experience.

OR - a degree or diploma in education and the relevant dance experience.

Contract: 2 years starts August 2012

EARLY YEARS TEACHER

The job involves teaching drama to children aged mainly from 6 months to 6 years.

The job would best suit a qualified early-years/pre-school teacher with a talent for creative drama, music and movement. Musical skills, especially keyboard or guitar are an advantage. The successful applicant would be keen, self motivated, friendly, diligent and out-going.

EITHER - a BEd with teaching experience and experience in the arts.

OR - a related degree with experience in early-childhood education with at least and the relevant acting/drama experience.

Contract: 2 years starts August 2012

DRAMA TEACHER

The job involves teaching drama to children aged mainly from 3 to 12  though  applicants will could also be required to teach in our pre-school programme (18 months to 3 ½) so must have a keen interest in teaching young children.

The job would best suit a trained actor who also has a teaching qualification. Musical skills, especially keyboard or guitar are an advantage. The successful applicant would be keen, self motivated, friendly, diligent and out-going.

The school also has thriving Musical Theatre and Dance departments so the ability to teach across departments would be an advantage (see below)

MUSICAL THEATRE TEACHER

The job on offer is for a musical theatre teacher – it involves teaching MT to children aged mainly from 3 to 12  though applicants will could also be required to teach in our pre-school programme (18 months to 3 ½) so must have a keen interest in teaching young children.

The job would best suit a trained multi-talented actor/singer/dancer who also has a teaching qualification. Musical instrument skills, especially keyboard are an advantage. The successful applicant would be keen, self motivated, friendly, diligent and out-going. The ability to teach across departments is a definite advantage. We would ideally like someone who could teach each of the disciplines of Musical Theatre - acting, singing and dancing as individual subjects as well as a combination.

ASSISTANT TEACHER (LOCAL CONTRACT - N.B. Only those resident in Singapore need apply)

Seeking a sparky, fun-loving, committed Assistant Teacher.

Open ended contract starting immediately.

This is a full time position to assist drama and pre-school teachers in their duties. Applicants must be happy playing with children especially in 'drama' or 'role-play' situations. 

Musical ability, especially singing, guitar playing or piano a distinct advantage.

An artistic flair, good at making things also an advantage. Applicants must be good with people and keen to develop within a vibrant environment.

RECEPTIONIST AND ADMIN ASSISTANT (LOCAL CONTRACT)

Seeking a bright, resourceful and reliable staff member with excellent English language skills.

Open ended contract starting immediately.

This is a full time position to assist in a busy office environment to talk to parents of students attending the school, to advise them on courses and to book them into appropriate classes. Applicants must have good computer skills and be excellent at listening and talking to customers.

Applicants must be good with people and keen to develop within a vibrant environment.
