Ballet Teacher
Students are part time, (once a week), aged 3 yrs to 13 and Adult
Successful and growing Singapore based Performing Arts school is seeking a ballet teacher to work full time. Most classes are supporting the expat community, and therefore the background of most of the students reflects this. Classes are run at Centre Stage School of the Arts and in other studios.
The successful candidate should be a qualified R.A.D teacher (Holding registered teacher status or within 1 year of qualifying for registration) and have experience as a choreographer. Having experience teaching modern (ISTD), tap and musical theatre is a bonus.
As there is a great deal of scope for developing the range and variety of the dance classes offered, along with involvement in drama/musical theatre productions, an enthusiasm for choreography, experience of performance, adaptability and interest in teaching adults are also desirable.
The ideal person is enthusiastic, passionate about teaching and about children. They are reliable, committed and able to work independently, have excellent organisational skills, as well as being able to contribute to team efforts. In support of this, assistance with annual Continual Professional Development courses (time off & financial contribution) will be available. Furthermore, they will join a happy, supportive and inspiring group of artists and have a lot of fun achieving a great deal!

Drama Teacher
The job involves teaching drama to children aged mainly from 3 to 12 though applicants will also be required to teach in our pre-school programme (18 months to 3 ½) so must have a keen interest in teaching young children.
The job would best suit a trained actor or a practitioner with a teaching qualification. On the job training is given and employees have the choice to obtain a teaching qualification with London's Trinity/Guildhall.
Musical skills, especially keyboard are an advantage. The successful applicant would be keen, self motivated, friendly, diligent and out-going.
Qualifications –
EITHER - a degree or diploma in acting/performing arts preferably with either a teaching qualification or significant teaching experience.
OR - a degree or diploma in education and the relevant acting/drama experience.
Contract: 2 years starts September/December 2009
